So, as I mentioned in my journal, I drew a picture of my mother for her birthday. I started it awhile ago, but I could only work on it when my mother wasn't around, and it was relatively difficult to draw, as I really wanted to capture her image. You can view the real picture of her here.
Sooo, I really like the result. I worked very hard, and I feel that it shows. I tried to take my beloved watcher 's advice in making the lines less bold. I didn't succeed, but it's a work in progress. > w <
Anyways, this drawing will be given to my mother tomorrow, on her birthday. I hope she likes it. Wish me luck everyone!! ; w ;
In the meantime,
I really appreciate any view I get, especially on this picture. This wonderful lady gave me life, after all~

I love the attention you paid to the clothing folds and the hair. For some reason the link to real picture isn't working for me, but I'm sure you captured her perfectly. Making the lines less bold definitely helps push it towards the realism style, and you're doing incredibly well with it! I'm sure she'll love it!
HEY!! THX for mentioning me! Anywho even though you used bold lines there not as noticeable as last pics so great job! And also great work on the shading your getting good fast so keep up the good work! Love the water colors as well, I wouldve loved it if you watercolored your moms clothes as well but still good drawing.
Wow, this is very good. I love the face and the hair. But if I had to critique it, I think if you added some more darker shadows on her outfit and her face, that would really make her pop out a little more.
