I made everything from scratch. I took the tails off some jumbo shrimp, dipped them in egg, and then covered them in seasoned (I won't tell you which ones) flour. I then fried them, as you can tell. As for the hash-browns, I grated some skinned potatoes and then cooked them with vinegar and a few extra seasonings. It sounds weird, but it was very tasty. Then I just put the fruit cup as a side! I also made cocktail sauce for the scrimp, but I couldn't fit it on the plate without making things look unbalanced. . .yes, I'm prissy.
So here it is! A nice, Southern dinner of fried shrimp, hash browns, and simple fruits. Bon Appétit!
